AREA’s dope RTW02 – Photos by Paul Kooiker

‘We looked at our precious couture pieces and started photographing and xeroxing these pieces and we started screen-printing it on t-shirts, gowns, and shirting. How can the memory of precious pieces live in our lives, almost like your favorite band t-shirt. We also experimented with translating our signature cupchain pieces into a metallic photographic screen print on stretchy body conscious mesh pieces that evoke ease and glamour.

For this collection we collaborated with artist Paul Kooiker to create a range of surreal images that showcase the graphic quality of the collection, we felt like there was a similarity in our processes of creation and we wanted to showcase that alchemy through these pictures.’
