NADAV PERLMAN SS2027: ROOTS

“When I left my childhood home to live abroad, the idea of that place became mystical. It became a sacred place. There, in the soil, my roots are intertwined with the roots of the trees.

I have now grown away from that sacred, pure place. I am entangled in ideas, ambitions, dreams, and other attachments. Yet the mystical quality of that place remains, and becomes more potent with time.

Wherever I go, whatever I do, it begins from that place. And perhaps one day, after all my long wandering, I will return.

In this collection, I reflect on my relationship with that place, my place, between mountains and low trees.

My heaven on earth.”
