RIGARDS for Thamanyah SS2014 – Text by OG

Ahmed Abdelrahman’s Thamanyah collaboration with Japanese frame maker Rigards is all about shadows. Being incognito while still observing the outside world, a literal association with Thamanyah’s garments. Declarations are made without losing reality, while letting an opaque fiction perform. Porous frames can be characterized by their own personality and noble materials (natural buffalo horn) are brought to a level of uniqueness.
