ISSUE# 9 “a glove is a lighthome, isn’t it?”

In 2013, Shinya Kozuka graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. After returning to Japan, in 2015, the designer started his eponymous brand SHINYAKOZUKA. In the brand’s concept – “Picturesque Scenery” – the reference to painterly landscape scenes is essential. The designer’s inspirations and thoughts are depicted in drawings and paintings, with each collection drawing from the scenes in these artworks.

“My design journey began in my hometown, Osaka—seeded in London, watered in Paris, and taking shape in Tokyo. Now, Florence opens another beautiful chapter. I am deeply grateful for this new land and the great honor of being part of Pitti Immagine Uomo.”
