CASTANEDA SS2026: “Arx-Imaginaria” – Text by OG
Affordable castles made from recycled cardboard? How modest and theatrical can a set design be? You can count on one hand how many startups are able to impressively transform low production budgets into fresh dramas. One of them is the story telling Parisian brand CASTANEDA, who just presented their spring-summer 2026.
Ivo and Gautier, the brand’s design and production founders, have managed to astutely deliver products that become luscious in their exclusive presentations. Making the type of creative statements that those with huge budgets can hardly reach, limitations and challenges transform into sponsorships for a brand as small as theirs. The result? A line of garments that already has an inner spirit structured within, lined with oblique dreams.
Pointed elbows and arched hems are ideal for consumers who have lost a connection to fashion’s daily joy: blaming the system’s own horse that bolts to acceleration, flattening it all. The same clients who are now open to rebinding affection with elaborated and well-crafted products. In the end, who doesn’t want to fall in love again and again with a tailored garment? And, unpretentiously, have the right to at least once imagine flaunting under arched passages, even if they are made of cardboard.
From gold caps with horns to berets and risqué handbags, accessories have defined the brand’s aura from its first collection. They will only become more desirable (if not collectable!) for next spring-summer 2026, allowing you to own a unique sense of fascination while holding one of them.
Congratulations to Ivo and Gautier– we cannot wait to visit you at your castle for the next winter season!
