From Ghana: COLLECTIVO’s SS2026 campaign
A Visual Testimony of Ecological Urgency
The Parisian creative laboratory Collectivo announces the launch of its latest documentary and artistic project captured in Accra, Ghana. In collaboration with renowned Nigerian photographer Oye Wole Ayal and The Or Foundation, the collective confronts the brutal reality of “waste colonialism” while positioning upcycling as the only viable industrial and creative response to the textile industry’s environmental collapse.
Founded in 2021 in the heart of the Saint-Ouen flea market—the historic birthplace of the circular economy—Collectivo is a pioneering Parisian creative lab. It operates as a horizontal ecosystem of twenty emerging designers dedicated to transforming ready-to-wear through a radical yet refined upcycling model.
In 2024 alone, the collective successfully repurposed three tons of textile waste. Its unique aesthetic, which blends classical tailoring with the raw, underground energy of the Seine-Saint-Denis district, has propelled the brand from the flea markets to the prestigious fourth floor of Printemps Haussmann. Today, Collectivo collaborates with major global players including Nike, The La Poste Group, and LVMH, while mentoring the next generation of creators at the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM).
