UNA HISTORIA DE NAVIDAD MINIMAL:
On December 16th 2011 at 9:30AM, while biking under a cloak of cold and rain through Amsterdam’s Vondel Park, I saw Christmas. From far away, I believed it was a huge Euphorbia Pulcherrima (Poinsettia flower or flor de Noche Buena) just landed in the park a bit earlier to celebrate with us. As I closed in, I realized it was a bunch of uniformed tourists ready for the wet and torrential cycling journey. With disappointment, I kept biking though; I’ll have to keep searching for that perfect oversized red brooch in the shape of a Christmas flower that I so desire. Please, more illusions for 2012!
