“The éclat of functionality takes center stage in Kegels’ collection: deconstructed couches become skirts, iconic chairs appear as prints, and pumpkin cushions reimagine themselves as tops, handbags, and hair clips. Waistbands unshackle from trousers, migrating onto shirts. Stainless steel bracelets fuse with jersey coats, while lacquered wooden leather or wood veneer give shape to shoes, belts, hats, and even gowns. Sustainability lingers as a corporate buzzword, seamlessly woven into upcycled elements.”
