I’ve answered many questions about this exhibition with a standard ‘yeah, I’m excited’ but deep down, the real answer for every show that opens is that I’m scared. The pressure to be better than my last body of work consumes me. Everything I have to give right now has been poured into this new series. When you step into the exhibition space, know this: the new work would have had no substance without the old. Start at the roots. Downstairs.’
