PAYSANNE – Meyer’s 2025 collection

“Meyer continues to create collections for men inspired by women’s fashion.

The brand presents 12 looks, designed, cut and sewn by Lucas Meyer in his workshop in Paris, using artisanal techniques borrowing from Haute Couture. Paysanne is his third collection and pays homage to women in rural areas, by exploring more specifically dress codes of the peasant classes between 1930 and 1970.

Presented in the form of a family photo album, the collection paints the portraits of these women who — often in the shadow of their husbands — were everything at the same time: wives, mothers, agricultural workers, cooks, merchants and babysitters.

Meyer creates a transmission link between genders, generations and classes, through favorite elements: the suit, the wool, the feathers and the apron. They reveal a new wardrobe for men, who are now also inspiring women.

The brand claims a heritage peasant, enriched by Alsatian folklore, which is embodied in an approach traditional way of making clothes. A relationship to construction and to quality, and respect for the handwork, which requires time. Meyer therefore presents one collection per year, and occasionally revealed over the months, pieces are available for sale on its online store.”
