#StandByUkraine: Paris activation by Lili Litkovskaya on 05.03 – 3pm
‘Ukrainian designer Lili Litkovskaya of LITKOVSKAYA – apparently the only Ukrainian designer who’s made it to Paris Fashion Week FW2022, having fled Kyiv the day of the invasion with her 2 year old daughter, but no collection, nor team – is staging the below, with the blessing and support of la Fédération FHCM and Tranoï, with whom the below decisions were made earlier today:
– Lili has erected the Ukrainian flag inside La Bourse (specifically immediately to the right upon entry) as part of the Tranoï showcase which she was always meant to do – but with her collection. In the circumstances, she is solely displaying the QR codes of the IG handles of 45 of her fellow Ukrainian creatives – to highlight them in their absence – and as per this Ukrainian design collective platform ARTCODE.
– The Mayor of Paris and Pascal Morand (FHCM) together with other dignitaries will be coming to La Bourse tomorrow, Friday 4th March, at 10am CET – for its official opening – Lili will be there
– Lili welcomes anyone to come down throughout the day to meet her and hear about her country’s plight
– Then on Saturday at 3pm CET, she invites the entire fashion community here in Paris – and anyone else wanting to show their support for #StandByUkraine – to join her at the official anti-war demonstration that will gather at Place de la République at that time. We will be standing by the front side of the Marianne statue – symbol of freedom & democracy – for those that want to join us.’
