MARAVILLAS is a digital, encyclopedic gallery and content group founded by Marcelo Horacio Maquieira Piriz. Dedicated to all design devotees in the Northern Hemisphere with tenderness and good timing while all other eyes are taking digital rest on a much needed summer break (or at least we hope so!). And for all our compañeros living down south in winter, we offer you the opportunity to warm yourselves up through this curated family of products and shelters representing timeless enchantment.

As a non-commercial group, our mission is to squeeze out all of the vigor that is released when products are suddenly called to the front lines from a recent past. We hope to cherish their contribution to the understanding of ideas, reality, values, and beliefs that they generate in communities.

By decelerating the eye’s performance speed and putting a stop to our endless devouring of new products, we look back to what has been truly original. It is often in its own unhurried moment of birth and originality when a product reaches its departure point and moves toward success and propagation. This invites us all to adjust our inner, reckless consumption of images. It is time to stop feeding these images to our eyeballs with little knowledge of their quality. If your eye’s extraocular muscles are tired, we hope that it is the result of an overdose of major beauty. If it’s not, then this group is the prescribed decompression that it needs to reset.

The birthplace and their genuine imagery are substantial criteria when selecting for this group. Before the digital world mutates them into endless clones and spreads them as parasitic memes, MARAVILLAS curates and shares the original product with appreciation and attentiveness.

As a private collector, Maquieira Piriz has been building this space for referential creators since 2019.

Their online release will be compressed into a yearly drop with a maximum of ten new acquisitions, selected by solemnly focusing on unique full heart pieces and the hands that created them. The rest of the year, he will keep searching and enjoy the journey of the eye on the behalf of you all.
