ADAM KIMMEL FW2012: flight maneuvers to remember
Designer Adam Kimmel’s exited the stage at his show in Salle Melpomène (Les Beaux Arts de Paris) through a vortex visual effect, the turbulent result was received enthusiastically by his audience. Kimmel’s well-trained models were operating his fall winter 2012 collection on the runway with the same behaviors of a military base. The tailored grey toned suits had sporty elements to them and stepped away from the more dreary corporate taste.
Even a double-breasted blazer with two short back splits looked young, dynamic, and established within Adam’s contemporaries. Waistlines were high and tight keeping it clean though giving the necessary authority and posture for total comfort. We were not in Nevada’s Area 51, but it was its persistent evening-blue tones combined with American elements (Air Force and Cia aesthetics) that turned the show into a story of style.
