The SS2013 attitude girls of JULIEN DAVID: “I don’t care vs. I care”

2012’s Andam Fashion Award winner Julien David turned the Parisian Bibliothèque des Génovéfains into his most preponderant défilé (parade). With the expected natural inclination towards silks, cottons (jacquards and brocades) and sportswear, the spring-summer 2013 parade was fresh, loose and often perforated-ventilated (the details even applied to footwear). Accessories were absent except for the house signature scarves, giving a graphic freedom to the spoiled child: Les enfants gâtés, as the collection was baptized.

Inspired by art, the twin pleated dresses alla Mondrian dictate comfort is primordial in all occasions. For those sunny days David recommends to hide your eyes behind your fringe. The show was functional and elegant and throughout the entire presentation the fast models didn’t let us make eye contact.
